Affiliate disclosure

The plain-English version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a subscription, the vendor pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra; the price is the same either way.

We go one step further than disclosure: we publish the full commission table: every tool we recommend and exactly what it pays us, including the top picks that pay us nothing.

The rules we operate under

• Rankings and scores are finalized before we look at affiliate terms. Testing notes are timestamped.
• We recommend tools with no affiliate program whenever they win our tests (Claude and ChatGPT are current examples). Those links earn us $0.
• Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" so search engines (and you, via right-click) can see exactly which links pay us.
• Vendors cannot pay for placement, reviews, or "featured" positions. Sponsored content does not exist on this site.
• We pay full retail price for every subscription we test. No vendor-gifted accounts.

This disclosure is made in accordance with the US Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 (Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising). Each page containing affiliate links carries its own disclosure notice above the first link.
