eRank vs Marmalead: the price gap decides it

The short version: these two answer the same question, "which searches am I losing," with opposite personalities. eRank is a spreadsheet with opinions: dense tables, daily lookup quotas, a tool for every sub-task, and a Basic plan at $5.99/month that undercuts almost everything in e-commerce software. Marmalead is a report card: it grades your listing A through F, tells you what to fix in plain English, and charges $19/month for the bedside manner. Both prices are as of July 2026, so verify on the vendor pages. The feature sets overlap far more than either fanbase admits, which is why for most sellers this comes down to arithmetic: Marmalead costs roughly three times as much and does not do three times as much.

Choose eRank if…

• You track competitors. Basic watches 5 shops, Pro watches 50; Marmalead doesn't really play this game.

Choose Marmalead if…

• Dashboards make you close the tab. Marmalead's letter grades and plain-English recommendations are genuinely the friendliest onboarding in Etsy SEO, and for a seller who would otherwise do nothing, the tool that gets used beats the tool that's cheaper.
• You care about seasonality: its forecasting view of when a keyword's demand rises and falls is a legitimately nice way to plan listings around holidays.
• You're a lifer: the $300 lifetime deal changes the math entirely. Against $19/month it pays for itself inside 16 months, and against eRank Basic in about four years. If you know you'll be selling in 2030, it's the one scenario where Marmalead is the cheap option.

One thing to address head-on, because you'll see it in every seller forum: the "is Marmalead abandoned?" question. Sellers have grumbled for years about its pace of development, and the complaint had teeth for a while. What we can verify in 2026: it isn't abandoned. The Marma AI shop coach exists, the Chrome extension has current-year updates, and the product is actively marketed. What we can also verify: eRank ships more, across more tiers, for less money. "Alive but slower and pricier" is the fair summary, and it's not a flattering one.
